Our latest book, THE TRUMPET’S CALL, holds a special place in my heart. Contracting Covid in the Eternal City, I found myself in lock-down. My “desk”? A windowsill overlooking the streets below. It was there – between endless cups of coffee, the sound of sirens in the distance, and the best take-out in the world – that I finished THE TRUMPET’S CALL. Quarantine gave me the time, Rome gave me the inspiration, and that narrow strip of stone under the window gave me just enough space to write.
Sometimes the best stories are born in the most unlikely places!
