M. D. Veach was originally established as the collaborative pen name of two sisters. Today, the Mazetti Archaeological Mystery Series continues under Melanie (M) Veach while both authors pursue their own writing projects.
Based in Texas, both sisters enjoy travel, good food, and sharing a home with a host of fur babies. The “M” in the above-mentioned pseudonym has over twenty-one years of experience teaching in an American University. Her focus on ancient history and experience at archaeological sites shines through, providing the historical background for the narrative. As an accomplished instructor of English for over twenty years, “D” provides expertise that will entice readers to clamor for future installments in the series.
Although we began this journey writing together under a shared pseudonym, we also create independent works that reflect our unique perspectives. Watch for Secrets of the Lost Queen, available Fall 2026!
